Big Sky announces new products at 2006 Outdoor Retail Show
 

Big Sky’s highly rated Evolution shelter line is becoming even lighter while keeping the same comfortable and roomy size, and full feature set with its new “rev. E” version that will weigh an ounce or two (28 or 56g) less than the current “rev. D” version. The base price for the Evolution 2P 2D2V rev. E will be $289.95, which is less than competitors of similar size and features that use much less expensive materials in their products that weight 25% or more than Big Sky’s offerings. Orders can be place now for the “rev. E” version that will start shipping in the September/October time frame.
 

Along with the new “rev. E” version, Big Sky will also be offering customers the choice of either pole sleeves or pole clips for no additional cost. Since the pole clip version will weigh about 1oz (28g) less than the pole sleeve version it is expected to be a hit with customers that want a full size, full featured shelter for the least amount of weight. Orders can be placed now for the “clip” version that will start shipping in the October/November time frame.
 

Also for the customers that want a full size, full featured shelter for the least amount of weight, Big Sky will be offering a lighter weight fly without a window that will shave another 1/4 lb (113g) of weight off the already incredible light weight Evolution series. The very light fly option will be priced at $149.95 for the Evolution 2P 2D2V and $139.95 for the Evolution 1P 2D2V. Orders can be placed now for the “very light fly” version that will start shipping in the October/November time frame.
